Ms Rita Saffioti replied:We continually assess
any issue that arises—that is what we do. As I said, it is for the
B-series and the A-series too. Do you know what? Not everything runs perfectly.Mr Basil Zempilas:When were you informed? When
will it be fixed?The Speaker:Leader
of the Opposition, you have asked the question. Let the minister respond.Ms Rita Saffioti:Not everything runs perfectly in
everything that we do. There are issues with the B-series and A-series trains.
I do not get told every time there is an issue with one train on the network,
but do members know what? We are proud of our WA manufacturing, and today we
heard from members of the Liberal Party that they oppose it. The shadow
Treasurer came up and said—Ms Sandra Brewer:What spin! What absolute
nonsense! The Speaker:Member for Cottesloe!Ms Rita Saffioti:No; she stood up and said, "We
can't afford a Made in WA plan." That is what she said.Ms Sandra Brewer:Do you want me to read it to
you?Ms Rita Saffioti:No; I heard it. I mean, I sat there,
I turned to the Premier and I said, "I can't believe she is saying this."Ms Sandra Brewerinterjected. The Speaker:Member for Cottesloe, please stop
interjecting.Ms Rita Saffioti:I said, "I can't believe she is
saying this, but I'm glad she's saying it." That is what I said. I said, "I
can't believe she is saying this, but I'm glad she's saying it", because
it shows that they have learnt nothing in eight years. They opposed local rail
manufacturing. They have been trying to reduce—Mr Lachlan Hunter:Sit down! The Speaker:Member for Central Wheatbelt, it is not
your job to tell people to sit down. It is actually mine. I am going to call
you to order for the first and second time for your performance during question
time.Carry on, minister.Ms Rita Saffioti:As I said, we are proud of our local
manufacturing and we will continue to support Made in WA.
