(1) How many CAPs are fully operational as at 1 August 2011?
(2) Where are these CAPs located?
(3) Has there been any feedback from the operational CAPs as to the outcomes so far?
(4) If yes to (3), will the Minister provide this feedback?
(5) If no to (3), why not?
(6) How many are still in the planning phase?

(1) As at 1 August 2011, 30 CAPs had commenced.
(2) The CAPs cover Roleystone, Australian Veterinary Association, Kimberley Region (Wyndham, Fitzroy Crossing, Broome, Derby and Halls Creek), South West Region (Bunbury, Busselton, Blackwood, Leeuwin, Leschenault, Warren and Wellington), Pilbara Region (Fly in fly out, Newman, Paraburdoo, Pannawonica, Port/South Hedland, Roebourne, Tom Price and Western Desert), Esperance, Prisons (Bandyup Women's Prison, Boronia Pre-Release Centre, Range View Detention Centre), WA Country Football League (regional WA), Wheatbelt Region and the WA Jockey's Association.
(3-5) Edith Cowan University have an undertaking with the One Life Suicide Prevention Strategy (One Life) to evaluate the six target areas outlined on pages 4-6 of the
Western Australian Suicide Prevention Strategy
2009-2013
. Specifically, they will examine how to improve the evidence base about communities; building individual resilience; improving community strength; taking a coordinated approach; providing targeted activities; and implementing standards.
This research will occur at the beginning of the communities' engagement with One Life and then 12 months afterwards. Until the 12 months research has concluded, there will be no findings released.
(6) As at 19 September 2011, there were 9 approved CAPS planning to commence.
(7) As at 19 September 2011, the approved CAPs to commence were for Homeless Young People and the North Central Wheatbelt Region (Toodyay, Northam, Wongan Hills, York, Beverly, Quairading, Moora and Jurien Bay), .
(8) As at 19 September 2011, 9 CAPs were being developed.
(9) These CAPs cover Midland, Ellenbrook, Bullsbrook, Shire of Cockburn, City of Mandurah, Multicultural Services, City of Rockingham, Geraldton and the Noongar community.
