(a)& (c) $780,171. (b)& (d) Under the New Living Ten Year Plan, $3,045,206 has been budgeted for the South Kalgoorlie Project over a 5 year period from 1998/99 to 2002/2003. $1.5 million had been allocated to this project in 1995 however, due to an expansion of the scope of the project additional funds have been allocated. (e) 8 houses have been refurbished and are available for purchase and one property will be refurbished shortly. (f) To the end of 1999/2000, the median refurbishment cost for properties sold from the project is $14,336. Over the same period, the median achieved sale price for those properties is $84,719. (g) The Ministry of Housing has considered placing tenants in the vacant properties however, there is greater benefits to the sale of the properties rather than reletting them. This situation is reviewed on a monthly basis and if there is no movement in the coming months the Ministry will let the properties to public housing applicants. (h) For the 8 houses currently being handled through the New Living Project $1374 has been spent on maintenance in the last three months. (i) Security patrols for the total South Kalgoorlie New Living Project cost $1,300 per month. (j) 175 applicants. (k) No. In line with Government policy, the Ministry must sell assets at or above market value.
