FRONT-LINE REDUNDANCIES
119. Hon STEPHEN DAWSON to the
Minister for Child Protection:
I refer to
front-line staff at the Department for Child Protection and Family Support.
(1) By district,
how many redundancies have been approved or are in the process of being
approved?
(2) By district,
what are the positions of those staff who have been accepted for redundancy?
(3) Are child
protection workers in Western Australia required to sign a contract banning any
contact with the media?

(1) Crisis
care, one; East Kimberley, two; fostering and adoption services, five;
Fremantle, two; goldfields, one; great southern, one; head office, 21;
Mirrabooka, three; Murchison, two; Peel, one; residential care, one; secure
care, one; and wheatbelt, one.
(2) The number
of redundancies totals 42, which includes a list of 32 position titles. I seek
leave to table a table that shows the district and the positions of those
people who have taken those redundancies.
