Minister for Housing:
I refer to public housing in Port Hedland and South Hedland.
(1) How many
public housing properties are currently vacant and how many properties have
been vacant greater than 60 days?
(2) How many public housing properties are earmarked for
sale?
(3) How many
public housing properties require maintenance and how many properties have been
waiting longer than 30 days for action on repairs?
(4) How many applicants are currently waiting for public
housing?
(5) How many priority housing applicants are waiting for
housing?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
(1) As at 30 April
2015, 51 of 63 vacant properties had been vacant longer than 60 days due to
reasons including demolition, pending sale, fire damage, refurbishment and
management review.
(2) As at 30 April 2015, 32 properties were vacant pending
sale.
(3) As at 18 May
2015, 70 properties were undergoing maintenance and 13 had been undergoing
maintenance longer than the 28-day routine maintenance time frame.
(4) There were 330 applications as at 30 April 2015.
(5) There were 46 applications as at 30 April 2015.
