(1) Is the Minister aware that at least 15 women have cancelled bookings at Woodside Hospital, as a result of the relocation of services to Kaleeya Hospital?
(2) Will the Minister use the Health Consumer Council to follow-up cancellations to see the reason why these women have cancelled?
(3) Have these women chosen the more expensive private maternity options to have their babies?
(4) Is it part of the Minister for Health's strategy to discourage the use of public maternity facilities by reducing their attractiveness and closing popular birthing centres such as Woodside Hospital?

(2) No. (3) I am not aware of the alternative arrangements made. (4) I find it unbelievable that the Member would deny birthing mothers the best available facilities including four modern birthing suites, additional operating theatres, 24 hour on-site medical cover, allied health services, radiology services (including ultrasound), on-site pharmacy and private rooms with ensuites, none of which were available at Woodside.
