MAIN ROADS WA — TOODYAY ROAD — UPGRADES
1072. Hon ALANNA CLOHESY to the parliamentary
secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer to the Toodyay Road—Roe
Highway to Mayo Road—road safety upgrades in 2015–2016.
(1) What work was completed in road
safety upgrades along this part of Toodyay Road?
(2) What was the
budget and actual expenditure for each of the completed upgrade projects by
project or intersection?
(3) How much of
this expenditure was from Main Roads' budget and how much from the road
trauma trust account or other budgets?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.
(1) The completed work is road widening to
incorporate right-turn and left-turn pockets and road widening from the
convenience store to Aspen Road in Noble Falls.
(2) The Noble Falls budget was $5.7 million
and the actual expenditure was $5 798 943. The budget for road widening from
the convenience store to Aspen Road was $3.3 million and the actual expenditure
was $2 972 844.
(3) Of the money for the work in Noble
Falls, $5 798 943 came from Main Roads' safer roads program and of the
money for the road widening from the convenience store to Aspen Road, $300 000
came from Main Roads' Safer Roads program and $2 672 844 from the road
trauma trust fund.
