for this work?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1)–(3) This
government has indeed started work on the principal shared pathway between
Glendalough and Balcatta along the Mitchell Freeway. The section between
Balcatta Road and Erindale Road was completed in September 2014 at a total cost
of $3 320 000. The section between Erindale Road and Civic Place is programmed
for 2017–18 at an estimated cost of $3 028 000. The section between
Civic Place and Telford Crescent is not programmed and will need to be
considered as part of a future proposal to construct Stephenson boulevard. The
detailed design for the section between Hutton Street and Glendalough station
has been completed and a proposal for new funding is being put forward for
government consideration for construction in 2017–18 and 2018–19.
This includes full grade separation at Scarborough Beach Road and Hutton Street
and full separation of cyclists and pedestrians. Design costs of $915 000 have
been incurred on this section.
(4) The total
costs to date are $4 235 000.
