(2) For each of those years how many of those samples were taken from charged persons? (3) For each of those years how many were taken from victims? (4) For each of those years how many were taken from other parties? (5) For each of those years, how many fingerprint profiles from charged persons were added to the National fingerprint database? (6) For each of those years, how many charged persons who qualified under law to have a fingerprint sample taken did not have a fingerprint sample taken by Western Australian Police?

(1) The responses provided to (a) to (f) represent the number of fingerprints entered into the National Automated Fingerprint Identification System database. Between 2007 and 2011, data is only available by calendar year.

The task would necessitate a manual extraction and comparison of large amounts of data from multiple systems and consume considerable time and resources. It is therefore not possible for Police to obtain this information without significantly compromising other core policing activities.
