A training and communications facility has been established at the Goldfields District Education Office at an estimated cost of $80 000 to support schools in the district, and particularly those located in the remote areas. In 2005/06, an amount of $12 000 was allocated to each of Kalgoorlie and South Kalgoorlie Primary Schools under the Healthy Kids Program to upgrade or replace playground equipment at the schools.
