Regarding the unsealed road from Marble Bar to Nullagine and on to Newman;
(a) is the Minister aware of complaints from truck drivers who are spending upwards of $1,500 per week on vehicle maintenance due to the harsh toll exacted on their vehicles while daily traversing the corrugations and wash outs along this route;
(b) will the Minister direct immediate improvements to the grading along this road and if not, why not; and
(c) following the roll-over on this road in recent weeks, will the Minister take steps to investigate the sealing of this important inland route which, as well as servicing the needs of local towns and communities, also links a number of major royalty producing resource sites to the larger inland towns of the Pilbara and on to the coast?
