(1) Will the $500 fuel card be issued annually to regional seniors?
(2) Will it be increased annually by CPI?
(3) What are the qualifying terms and/or conditions to receive the $500 fuel card?
(4) Given the current economic circumstances, the cost of fuel and the fact that many regional seniors have to travel to Perth or regional centres to access a range of services, why hasn’t the minority Liberal Government moved to immediately provide this much needed and promised relief to regional seniors?

(1-3) Residents of Country Western Australia who receive a Commonwealth Age Pension will be eligible to apply for a $500 Country Age Pension Fuel Card (one per couple). The program has currently been funded over four years. Details associated with the program are to be considered by Cabinet in the near future.
(4) The Department of Local Government and Regional Development has been entrusted with the task of developing the scheme and is making excellent progress on the preparation of a submission for Cabinet consideration.
