c) The Targeted Underground Power Program (TUPP) replaces the NRUPP. The NRUPP is not being extended.
d) None of the eight Local Governments involved in NRUPP have underground power installed across their entire local government area.
i) and ii) Most local government areas are served by a combination of overhead and underground power. Western Power has published a Network Renewal Map, which provides an indicative outlook for future network renewal: www.westernpower.com.au/siteassets/documents/underground-power/network-renewal-map.pdf
Areas where the above ground network is due for renewal are potential candidates for underground power projects through the TUPP.
Underground power programs target residential areas - commercial and industrial areas are not generally included.
