I refer to liaison between the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority (MRA) and the City of Perth, in relation to Freedom of Information applications, and I ask: (a) since 1 March 2016, has the MRA been consulted in relation to a Freedom of Information application submitted to the City of Perth concerning the Elizabeth Quay Water Park and Playground; (b) if yes to (a), has the MRA raised objections to the release of sections of certain documents; (c) if yes to (b), on what date were those objections first made to the City of Perth and what were those objections; and (d) is consultation between the MRA and the City of Perth over the MRAs objections to sections of certain documents continuing and, if so, why?

a) Yes.
b) The MRA consented to the release of all seven documents on the condition that personal information (specifically email addresses and telephone numbers) of MRA officers were redacted prior to the release of the documents.  The MRA also advised the City of Perth that it was consulting with a third party named in the City of Perth’s documents in relation to a separate FOI application made to the MRA and that, as a result, the MRA could not consent to the release of the information contained in the City of Perth’s documents as it pertained to the third party.
c) The correspondence occurred on 2 June 2016.
d) No.  The MRA liaised with the City of Perth, not in relation to any objections, but in relation to the consultation process to be followed with respect to disclosure of third party information in the City of Perth’s FOI request.  The matter was resolved on 30 September 2016.
