As reported in the 2002/03 budget statements the anticipated recurrent appropriation out-turn for 2001-02 is $8,504 million, compared to a comparable budget figure of $8,449.8 million. The major adjustments to agency budgets were $73.5 million for the First Home Owners' Assistance Scheme and $72.8 million for the Department of Health, offset by savings of $43 million within the Education budget (mainly depreciation and capital user charge adjustments) and other savings within agencies. Full details on the 2001/02 out-turn will be disclosed in Appropriation Bill No. 3 when it is presented to Parliament.
