In relation to the Department of Housing site and dwellings being constructed at 239 Pier Street, Perth, I ask:
(a) is the Minister aware that the one bathroom, two bedroom apartment number 120 is being advertised for sale at $533,000;
(b) how many apartments in this development have been, or are being, sold at market price;
(c) how many apartments are being sold through the Department of Housing 70 per cent equity arrangements;
(d) how many apartments are being sold through any other affordable housing scheme; and
(i) please detail these and explain the financial arrangements; and
(e) what is the Department's ongoing financial commitment and liability to this development?

The Department of Housing advises:
(a) Yes
(b) All properties have or are being sold at market price.
(c) As at 8 June 2012, 18 properties have been sold under the SharedStart initiative.
(d) In addition to the 18 sold through SharedStart, as at 8 June 2012:
- 9 apartments have been sold under the National Rental Affordability Scheme (NRAS).
- 13 apartments have been sold through an Essential Worker
pilot initiative.
- 17 apartments will be used for social housing.
(i) The NRAS incentive is a combined Commonwealth and State Government contribution. It is provided on an annual basis for 10 years. The Essential Worker pilot has assisted key worker households with their deposit requirements.
(e) The Department does not have any ongoing financial commitment to this development.
