Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child
Sexual Abuse
918. Hon Jess Beckerling to the minister representing
the Minister for Child Protection:
I refer to Hon
Simone McGurk's response speech on the Royal Commission into Institutional
Responses to Child Sexual Abuse in 2018, when she stated:
… the McGowan government has
accepted, or accepted in principle, 93 per cent—or 289 of 310—of
the applicable recommendations.
(1) Can the minister please provide an update on
how many of the 289 recommendations the government has now implemented in full?
(2) In addition, how many are in progress?
(3) How many are not yet started?
(4) Can the minister also please inform the
Council when we can expect the next progress report to be tabled, noting that
the last one was in 2022?
