Since coming to office, this WA Labor Government has reduced the total number of defects in public schools by more than 70 per cent across both metropolitan and regional WA.
The Department of Education advises:
(a)-(b)
The Building Condition Assessment (BCA) acts as a planning tool, not a ranking system. Schools with larger or older facilities may typically record more defects, influenced further by location factors, site conditions, and utilisation.
The State Government has addressed all Priority 1 defects identified in the latest BCA and has recently allocated an additional $11.3 million to address further priority maintenance items.
