I have always made it very clear to the racing industry that I think
the TAB should be sold for the variety of reasons that I have stated.
Mr M.P. Murray : When?
Mr
C.J. BARNETT : The member can ask what he wants and I will answer what I
want; that is the way it works. We are talking to the industry. I went out to
Ascot for early morning training and racing and talked to a large group of
trainers, owners and some jockeys. I am going out to Lark Hill with members on
this side to again talk to some of the people operating out there. I will
continue to work on this issue until I get a broad consensus across the
industry, and I believe I will.
