ECONOMICS AND INDUSTRY
STANDING COMMITTEE — INQUIRY INTO THE WA DOMESTIC GAS POLICY: INTERIM
REPORT
90. Mr R.S. LOVE to the Premier:
I have a supplementary question.
Can the Premier confirm that he is considering the matters that I outlined,
such as amending state agreements and price caps on gas?

AnswerView source ↗

The Western Australian government
remains a reliable and long-term partner for all our resource partners to make
sure that they can continue to make strong, long-term investment decisions
based upon good policy settings. All I am saying is that all options are on the
table, because we have to make sure that Western Australians come first. That
is what we will do, Deputy Speaker. We will put Western Australians first. We
note that this is something members opposite have never done. They have never
put Western Australians first when it comes to the domestic gas reservation
policy; in fact, they were prepared to sell Western Australians down the stream
by privatising Western Power.
