SCHOOLS —
SWIMMING LESSONS
1525. Hon DONNA FARAGHER to the Leader of the House
representing the Minister for Education:
I refer to the article in The
West Australian of 25 October 2024 titled ''Primary schools forced
to cut number of swimming lessons because of instructor shortage''.
(1) During the
2024 school year, how many schools have had their in-term swimming lessons
reduced from two weeks to one?
(2) Of the
schools referred to in (1), will the minister list the schools?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question.
(1) There were
41, which is less than half of those with a modified program in 2023, despite
an increase in the number of participating schools.
(2) I table the
list of schools.
