131,970 elective surgery and ASI cases were conducted for the months of June 2005 through to June 2007. During this time, the elective wait list number fell from 17,831 down to 13,037 - an improvement of nearly 30%. Median elective wait time during this period also fell from 127 days to 86 days - a 32% improvement. Compared to the 19,183 cases on the wait list at June 2001, and a median wait time of 4.96 months (approximately 149 days), these improvements are even more marked.
