That is correct, Mr
President.
(1)–(3) In answering the question in
my capacity as Minister for Disability Services, I will assume the member is referring
to the corporate structure of the Disability Services Commission.
I have seen the plan for the rearrangement of the corporate services
and have agreed to it. There has been a relative amount of consultation between
me and the director general around the changes within the corporate structure.
I totally support the work that the Disability Services Commission is doing in
that respect. It is designed to enable disability services to stay at a
contemporary level and is focusing areas of the Disability Services Commission
on the work that needs to be done. The rearrangement of those services within
the commission is wholly and solely about getting the absolute best service
possible for people with disability. I am absolutely confident that it will result
in a far better range of services and better services for people with
disability in the state.
