186. Mr S.K. L'ESTRANGE to the Minister for Health:
I refer to the Ministerial Code of
Conduct, and I quote —
� Ministers are accountable to both
the community and Parliament for the administration of their departments,
authorities and statutes.
Does the minister still stand by his
comments in the chamber last week, and I quote —
� ultimately, it is the
responsibility of the health service providers to make sure that they have the
configuration of staff that meets the needs of their hospitals. This is not the
responsibility of the Minister for Health.
