I refer to the machine used to assess fluid volume in lymphoedema patients at Albany Health Campus and advice that this machine is not currently operational, and I ask : (a) How long has this machine been out of commission; (b) What is the reason for it being non-operational; (c) When is it expected to be repaired or replaced; (d) What is the estimated or actual cost of the repair or replacement; and (e) In the interim, what arrangements have been made to support lymphoedema patients in the Albany region who require this service?

c.       The expected replacement date for the device is November 2025.
d.      The total cost for replacement is estimated to be between $17,000 and $20,000.
e.       While the device remains unavailable, patients requiring this service are being referred to metropolitan hospitals. Transport and accommodation needs are being supported through the Patient Assisted Travel Scheme (PATS), ensuring continuity of care during the transition period.
