representing the Minister for Racing and Gaming:
I refer to the minister's
answer to question without notice 323.
(1) Of the $565 000 cost for the
first year of the expansion, what amount will be paid for by —
(a) the state
government;
(b) local
government; and
(c) the private
sector?
(2) Of the funding provided by the
state government, where is money being sourced from?
(3) What training
will be provided to stakeholders in Carnarvon and Gascoyne Junction to best use
the banned drinkers register and takeaway
alcohol management system, and who will be expected to pay for that training?
(4) What is the long term plan for
funding the BDR and TAMS rollout across the state?

some notice of the question. On behalf of the Minister for Racing and Gaming, I
provide the following response.
(1) The funding is from the state
government.
(2) The funding is from
appropriations sourced from the consolidated account.
(3) The training
of stakeholders is already included in the funding mentioned. Staff from the
Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries will travel to
Carnarvon to train licensees and brief stakeholders on the use and
implementation of the banned drinkers register.
(4) There are a series of amendments
underway to enhance the effectiveness of the BDR.
