(2) I am advised that Western Power is in the process of supplying a quotation for the supply of power to the Shark Bay Airport. Initial estimates suggest $640,000 for underground supply and $460,000 for above ground supply and connection costs. Western Power has written to the owner of the Shark Bay Airport to discuss the quote and is awaiting a response from the owner (3) No. (4) This is a privately owned facility and responsibility for funding the network connection infrastructure rests with the owners. Western Power has previously advised the owners of the privately owned airport that it is prepared to offer supply to the airport at the uniform tariff rate on the basis that the airport owners will meet the full capital cost of connection to the Denham system. This is consistent with Western Power’s normal commercial obligations. Western Power will be responsible for the ongoing operation and maintenance of the installed infrastructure.
