Treasurer:
I refer to
footnote 7 in budget paper No 3 2024–2025 on page 58, which states —
Agencies in excess of the 2% upper
limit for the financial target in 2023–24 are WA Health, the Public Transport Authority, and the Departments of
Justice and Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions.
(1) Of the agencies listed, how many
exceeded the two per cent upper limit in 2023–24?
(2) For (1), by what percentage did
they exceed the upper limit?
(3) Given the
wages negotiations and cost pressures, which agencies are likely to exceed
their two per cent upper limit in 2024–25?

(1)–(3) The expense limit outcomes for 2023–24 for
the 15 largest appropriation-funded agencies will be disclosed in the 2023–24
Annual report on state finances . The 2024–25 Government mid-year
financial projections statement will provide an update on the top 15
appropriation-funded agencies' performance against their expense
limits.
