Some notice of this question has been given. I refer to the Premier's confirmation during debate yesterday that convention centre tenderers had written to the Premier, the Government or consultants working on the project complaining about the decision to choose Multiplex as the preferred provider. I also refer to the Premier's commitment to table those letters and ask - (1) Will the Premier now honour that commitment? (2) If not, why not? Mr COURT

(1)-(2) After the debate last night I asked my office what correspondence had been received. To date, two letters have been received, one from Nexus and one from Channel 7, both of which were forwarded to the Minister for Tourism; and there was a letter from Leighton Contractors Pty Ltd to Tony Jolley, the project manager, with a copy to me. Those three letters are the only correspondence we have been able to identify so far. Mr Ripper: Will you now release those letters? Mr COURT: I said to the Deputy Leader of the Opposition that if it was appropriate to table them, I would. We have asked the probity auditors. I have sent the letters through to the Minister for Tourism’s office and, if it is appropriate to make them public, we will do so.
