NORTHAM HEALTH SERVICE — REDEVELOPMENT
891. Hon DARREN WEST to the minister
representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to the proposed
redevelopment of Northam Health Service.
(1) When will the redevelopment
works be completed?
(2) When will the renal services be
available for patient use?
(3) Will the
government reinstate maternity services that have not been available since
2014; and, if so, when?
(4) If no to (3), why not?

I thank the member for some notice
of the question.
(1) The
redevelopment works at Northam Health Service are scheduled to be completed by
the end of 2018.
(2) Renal service delivery is
scheduled to commence in Northam in mid-2019.
(3) Community
midwifery antenatal and postnatal services are currently provided in the
Northam community. The WA Country Health Service is fully committed to
providing birthing services in Northam once adequate medical support can be
identified and recruited.
(4) Not applicable.
