I thank the Hon. Member for some notice of these questions.
(1) 88 Fisheries and Marine Officers (FMOs) and 6 Compliance Managers (CMs).
(2) FMOs and CMs are distributed across 17 Regional and District Offices from Broome in the north to Esperance in the south.
The role of FMOs is to deliver compliance services and community education activities in accordance with State and Commonwealth legislation.
The role of a CM is to manage compliance program delivery for a region, provide leadership and direction to compliance staff and develop strategies and plans to meet compliance program objectives.
