MINISTER
FOR FINANCE — STATE FLEET
1437. Hon KEN TRAVERS to the
Leader of the House representing the Minister for Finance:
Was the Minister for Finance correct when he advised the
media last week that responsibility for state government fleet issues had been
formally transferred to the Treasurer's office; or is the Premier
correct when he advised yesterday that the Minister for Finance has made a
proposal for the transfer of responsibility for matters involving state fleet
issues?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for some notice of this
question.
The letter from the Minister for Finance to the Treasurer was
to put an arrangement in place whereby the minister would exclude himself from
dealing with state fleet matters. The arrangement is currently being formally
processed administratively.
