representing the Minister for Corrective Services:
I refer to the Department for
Corrective Services office in Halls Creek
(1) How many full-time equivalents
are normally allocated to this office?
(2) How many positions are currently
vacant, and what are they?
(3) For how long have positions been
vacant, and what is the reason for the vacancy or vacancies?
(4) How many young people in Halls
Creek have open cases with the department?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of this question. On behalf of the Attorney General representing
the Minister for Minister for Corrective Services, the Department of Corrective
Services advises —
(1) There are five FTE positions at
Halls Creek.
(2) One level 4 prevention and
diversion officer position is currently vacant.
(3) The position
has been vacant since December 2015 and was the result of the substantive
officer resigning.
(4) On 21 March
2016, there were 16 young persons with a current order under supervision from
Halls Creek youth justice services.
