ELECTORAL IRREGULARITIES —
INVESTIGATION — PORT HEDLAND
568. Hon ROBIN CHAPPLE to the minister representing the Minister
for Police:
I refer to ordinary meeting of
council minutes of 22 May 2019 of the Town of Port Hedland.
(1) Is it correct that the Perth police have advised
the mayor that the investigation is still open and that he was still being
contacted by the police in regard to the investigation as he was the one who
submitted the complaint?
(2) Is it correct that there was
evidence of electoral offences?
(3) What was the
nature of the electoral offences; and, if they involved voting irregularities,
what was the total number of votes in question?
