In the case of children with disabilities, the Disability Services Commission provides direct funding and funds non-government agencies to provide respite. (3) Departmentally registered foster carers. In the cases involving children with disabilities, services such as the Cerebral Palsy Association and Landsdale Family Support Association may provide respite. (4) There is no specific budget for respite services within the Department for Community Development. The costs are subsumed within the total budget for payment of foster care subsidies.
