2) Yes. The DEP amended the licence on Wednesday, 25th July 2001 allowing a throughput of 2.35 million tonnes per annum. 3) This licence amendment was the subject of appeals from the community, but I have now determined the appeals and upheld the amended licence. However, in response to the level of community concern, I requested that the DEP incorporate a number of additional conditions in the new licence (which was issued on 28/9/01) and to commence the move to a comprehensive emissions based licence as soon as possible.
