I am advised:
(a) As at 3 April 2019, a total of 26 cases of abortion procedures resulting in a live birth have been reported between July 1999 to December 2018.
(b) Of the cases in (a), 20 were at 20 weeks gestation or later.
(c) Data is not available for this gestation period.
(d) In the Department of Health routine data collections, there is no record of medical intervention or resuscitation in these cases.
Values for parts (a) and (b) have changed since previous Questions on Notice, subsequent to ongoing review and clinical input.
