YANCHEP TRAIN LINE — EXTENSION
586. Mr J.R. QUIGLEY to the Minister for
Transport:
I have a supplementary question. Why
did the minister's government commit to this railway prior to the 2013
election only to cancel it after the election?

AnswerView source ↗

I have not seen any time line
committed to this railway line. It is something we want to do; we will stand by
it, but I can tell the member what —
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER : Members! Thank
you, member for West Swan; I call you to order for the first time.
Mr
D.C. NALDER : The additional piece of infrastructure we will deliver to the
north will be an extension of the freeway through to Hester Avenue. That is
another commitment we have made and will deliver. People are talking about lack
of infrastructure up there, but we are building train stations, adding bus deliveries
and putting in car parks. We are delivering for the people in the north just as
we will deliver for the people in the east.
