FIREARMS ACT 1973 — HANDGUN IMPORTATION
55. Hon RICK MAZZA to the Attorney General
representing the Minister for Police:
I refer to the response to (1)(a)
and (1)(c) of my question without notice 7 on 16 February 2016, in which the
Attorney General stated that the erroneous seizure of a firearm was part of ''an
operation''. Can the Attorney General advise whether the seizure was
part of Operation Unification; and, if yes —
(1) Was the
seizure included in the operational statistics as an illicit firearm?
(2) How many
other seizures were included in the operation statistics?

On behalf of the Minister for
Police, I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.
