URANIUM MINING PROHIBITION - LEGISLATION
I refer to the state Australian Labor Party’s intention to introduce legislation to ban the mining of uranium and to public statements to the same effect. (1) Will the government legislate to prohibit the mining of uranium in Western Australia? (2) If yes to (1), when? (3) If no to (1), why not? (4) Will the minister explain what has caused this legislation to be delayed for more than five years? Hon KIM CHANCE
