(1) Given that freehold title was granted to Hampton Location 135 (number 26 Austral Road) as recently as March 2002, will the Minister now consider allowing freehold title to occupied land lots in Austral Road, Brimage Avenue and Williamstown Road when some residents in Austral Road have been seeking freehold title since 1973?
(2) If no to (1), why not?

(2) The Department of Industry and Resources is opposed to any further releases in Williamstown and adjacent areas as there is potential in the longer term for another major open pit in the general Williamstown area due to the very high gold potential which extends north from the superpit.
