SCHOOLS — PUBLIC–PRIVATE
PARTNERSHIP
586. Hon SUE ELLERY to the Minister for
Education:
I refer to facilities management
services to be provided as part of the WA schools publicQQQ ### QQQprivate partnership project.
(1) Are school officer services part
of the facilities management to be provided by the private operator?
(2) If no to (1),
why is it listed as one of the services to be included in the PPP questions and
answers sheet on the Department of Education website?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1)–(2) The
term ZZZ### ZZZschool officer'' was initially
used in the early publicQQQ ### QQQprivate partnership documentation; the definition has been renamed ZZZ### ZZZcaretaker services'' in the current PPP
documentation. The caretaker services role incorporates cleaning, gardening and
the facilitation of maintenance work on the school site. Caretaker services do
not include school officer services; the school officer role is an education
position. The Department of Education website will be amended to reflect the
updated definition of ZZZ### ZZZcaretaker services''.
