YMCA YOUTH PARLIAMENT
I refer the minister to the Western Australian YMCA Youth Parliament, which has been running now for eight years. (1) Is the minister aware that 2009 will be the first year that this event has not received funding from the state government? (2) If yes to (1), why is this the case? (3) Is the minister also aware that because of this lack of funding, young people involved in the Youth Parliament will now have to pay an increased fee to participate, and those attending from the country will incur additional costs for their travel?
