Murray District Hospital facility—Pinjarra
1139. Hon Michelle Boylan to the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister
for Health:
In light of the
government's Building Hospitals Fund announcement, I refer to the Murray District
Hospital facility in Pinjarra.
(1) What are the annual operating and maintenance
costs for the 2024–25 financial year?
(2) How many beds are in service and what is the
average length of stay for patients?
(3) What funding has been earmarked for ongoing
works and operation of the hospital in 2025–26?
(4) What role is the facility expected to play
during and after the redevelopment of Peel Health Campus?

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question. The following answer has
been provided by the Minister for Health.
(1) This should be referred to the Minister for
Health Infrastructure.
(2) Fifteen beds are in service at Murray District
Hospital. The average length of stay in 2024–25 was 38.6 days.
(3) An amount of $6.98 million is budgeted for Murray
District Hospital operations in 2025–26. Required funding for
maintenance and repairs is allocated as per standard procedures across the South
Metropolitan Health Service.
(4) Planning is yet to begin relating to Murray
District Hospital post the commissioning of the new Peel Health Campus.
