I refer to the Specialist Breast Nurse (SBN) position in Albany, and ask -
(1) As this position is due to cease being funded in September 2005, will the Government commit to continue on with this vital service to our region?
(2) The current position is paid for two days a week. As this nurse does a great deal of unpaid overtime, will the Government consider increasing her hours?

(2) The State Government made an election commitment to establish 10 cancer coordinator positions in rural WA. These new positions will supplement the role and functions of the Rural Breast Care Nurses, who are based in Albany, Bunbury and Geraldton. The new Cancer Care Coordinator positions will ensure high standards of support to women with breast cancer as well as extending cancer care support to men and women who require their services.
