DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING - CORRUPTION AND CRIME COMMISSION INVESTIGATION
I refer the Premier to the retirement of Mr Paul Albert following the Corruption and Crime Commission’s inquiry into the handling of sexual misconduct allegations by the Department of Education and Training. (1) Did the Premier ask Mr Albert to confirm the minister’s claims that at no time was the minister or her office informed about the CCC’s inquiry or its intention to prepare a report for tabling in Parliament; and, if so, what was Mr Albert’s response? (1)-(2) Mr Albert informed the Premier that he had believed that advice he had received from the CCC indicated that he was unable to advise the Minister for Education and Training about details of its investigation into misconduct allegations.
