880. Hon PETER COLLIER to the minister representing the
Minister for Police:
I refer to the tragic death of Amy
Wensley on 26 June 2014.
(1) Will the
minister confirm that Western Australia Police Force offered $1 million in 2023
as a reward for information surrounding Amy's death?
(2) If yes to (1), why was the
reward offered nine years after the death of Amy Wensley?
(3) Has WAPOL continued to
investigate Amy Wensley's death since the announcement of the reward?
(4) Have there been any responses
from the public to WAPOL since the announcement of the reward?

The Western Australia Police Force
advises the following.
(1) Yes.
(2) In May 2023,
a $1 million reward was offered by the state government for 64 unsolved deaths,
including that of Ms Wensley.
(3)–(4) Yes.
