I thank the member for some notice of this question.. As this is a salinity matter, technically it falls within the portfolio of my colleague the Minister for the Environment and Heritage. However, I have been advised that finalisation of the details that the member has requested are pending negotiations with the Commonwealth on matching funds under the national action plan for salinity and water quality. I understand that future projects will be overseen by a skills-based steering committee, which will examine all proposals on their merits.
