I thank the honourable member for
some notice of this question. The following information has been provided to me
by the Minister for Police.
(1)–(3) Yes.
Written and verbal briefings have been provided to the Minister for Police from
senior WA police officers, including a briefing in March 2018 from Deputy
Commissioner Gary Dreibergs. The Western Australia Police Force advise that of
the people who have been recently charged with respect to Operation Fledermaus,
no alleged perpetrators are currently living with any of the victims to the
knowledge of police. The court ultimately determines bail conditions and
restrictions. Police request specific bail conditions when alleged perpetrators
are formally charged.
