I thank the honourable member for some notice of this question.
(1)–(5)
The Department of Transport is conducting periodic inspections and monitoring
surveys with regard to the emergency repairs completed in May 2014. The
Department of Transport is satisfied with the current condition of the repairs
and is continuing to investigate future maintenance requirements for the
structures at the Cut, along with the logistics associated with existing site
access constraints. The Department of Transport does not currently hold any
assets or tenure over the structures, land, water or seabed associated with the
Cut. The Department of Transport's investigations into maintenance and
long-term management options are ongoing.
